Dr. Boutrouille has a  private practice as a psychiatrist  and addictionologist in Tamarac, Florida where she specializes in outpatient detoxification.  She is also the medical director of  Challenges  Relapse Treatment and Prevention Program in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Boutrouille is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. 

 Dr. Boutrouille graduated from medical school in France in 1979.  She then practiced family medicine for twelve years in Martinique (F.W.I).  After moving to the United States, she completed her residency in psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1998,  specializing in chemical dependency.  Upon finishing her residency, Dr. Boutrouille opened her private practice in Charleston, South Carolina.  She eventually became medical director of Palmetto Low Country Behavioral Health.  She also became medical director of Clinical Solution, formerly known as Turning Point, which is a dual diagnosis rehabilitation program with emphasis on mood disorders, anxiety, and maximizing patient functioning. 

Over the last ten years, Dr. Boutrouille has dedicated her time to the field of addiction.  In 1993, after relocating to Florida, she started a new inpatient detox at University Pavilion as well as running the Maternal Addiction unit at Plantation Hospital as medical director.  Over the last five years, she has been focusing on obtaining  a more comprehensive approach to the the treatment of addictive disorders. In 2003, she was certified to provide her clients in her private office opiate detoxification with Suboxone. In 2005, she began using Vivitrol injection  for alcohol dependence. In 2006, she trained to give Prometa treatment, which is recommended for cocaine and amphetamine dependence.

Dr. Boutrouille has been a member in several professional societies including the American Society of Addiction, the American Psychiatric Association, and the Florida Medical and Psychiatric Association.  She is a speaker for  numerous medications including Campral, Suboxone, and Vivitrol.  During her residency, she she gave a  presentation on smoking cessation in Paris, France.


Ilona Libansky

Ilona Libansky

Dr. Ilona E. Libansky is a psychotherapist providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families who have mental health problems, substance abuse problems, medical issues, relationship difficulties, behavioral problems with children, or difficulty coping with life stressors. In addition, she provides group therapy.

Dr. Libansky helps patients to recognize how their thought process is connected to their feelings and behavior and, in turn, to the problem cycle that keeps them stuck in their difficulties. She also works with patients to help them recognize triggers and coping strategies that have become a problem. Dr. Libansky helps patients to develop a healthy thought process and coping skills that, in turn, generate change and get them unstuck. She believes that every person can learn and grow from their problems and challenges on their life journey.

Dr. Libansky obtained her doctorate degree in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. She wrote her dissertation on adoption and has provided therapeutic services to birth parents, adoptive parents, and adopted children. In addition, Dr. Libansky has provided in-home crisis intervention and family therapy to families and foster families where children were in imminent danger of being placed outside of the home by the Department of Children and Families because of abuse, neglect, or substance abuse issues.

In addition, Dr. Libansky is a Certified Addiction Counselor who has helped numerous patients and families with their substance abuse problems and co-dependency issues. Dr. Libansky has studied relapse prevention therapy with Terence T. Gorski, who is the leader of relapse prevention therapy in the field of addiction. In addition, Dr. Libansky specializes in maternal addiction and has provided therapy to pregnant women who have a substance abuse problem.

In addition, Dr. Libansky has a specialization in Medical Family Therapy and has worked with physicians helping patients and their families cope with medical issues and illnesses.

Dr. Karen Bethel

Karen Bethel is a native of Nassau, Bahamas and spent time in England to get her nurse's training and then moved to The United States in the 1980's to pursue her career growth and gained a Bachelor's and then Master's Degree in Nursing and an Advanced Certification in Psychiatry. She has been practicing as a psychiatric nurse for over 13 years and has obtained her PhD in Naturopathy with a specialization in herbology. Dr. Bethel is also a Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults equally as well. She provides psychiatric evaluations, naturopathy evaluations, psychotherapy, and medication management. Her specialty areas are mood disorders, thought disorders, anxiety disorders and women's issues.

Besides being an "Über Professional", Karen is both warm and embracing, you will feel at ease with her at your side, helping to diagnose, treat, and prescribe to alleviate your symptoms and to both bring you back to being a well rounded individual and a happy person. You could not ask for more.
